This issue is all about Oulipo, the French experimental literature group. They are famous for imposing upon themselves mathematical constraints in making literary pieces. We include snippets of Oulipean text s f rom France, as wel l as works inspired by the Oulipo methodologies by contemporary and ancient Chinese authors. There is also a comment piece on the new possibilities in procedural narratives as made possible by advances in computing technologies.
